On Tuesday 16 March, Fitzroy River Water will commence works at the St Faith’s Reservoir as part of a $3.5 million dollar upgrade of this reservoir complex.
Chair of Rockhampton Regional Council’s Water Committee, Cr Greg Belz said this work was part of the preparation for construction of an additional reservoir at this site with the reservoir to be completed within the next 12 months.
"These works will deliver a significant increase in the reliability and security of the supply of water to Yeppoon and, when coupled with the Rockhampton to Capricorn Coast Pipeline, augers well for the enhanced liveability for Capricorn Coast residents," Cr Belz said.
