Tiers now applied annually – a fairer system for consumers.
FRW now applies the water consumption tiers for your water charges annually and not quarterly. This is a real benefit to water users and generally considered best practice in the water industry.
This tier system encourages the conservation of our precious water resources, with the first tier set to cover basic household use together with some additional water for gardening.
The benefit of applying the water consumption tiers annually is that if your household’s water consumption fluctuates throughout the year (perhaps you use much less water in the cooler months), when it is totalled over the entire year your consumption may still fall inside tier one, resulting in the lower consumption charges being applied.
