Fitzroy River Water (FRW) advises that the fluoridation of treated water in Rockhampton commenced on 22 December 2009.
FRW has a legal obligation to follow the Queensland Government’s directive for fluoridation.
Residents of Rockhampton, The Caves and Gracemere areas will start to receive fluoridated water from 22 December 2009.
Residents of some parts of the Capricorn Coast will start to receive fluoridated water following completion of the Rockhampton to Yeppoon Pipeline Project in early 2010, with fluoridation for all the Capricorn Coast Water Supply Scheme to commence in late 2010.
Residents of Mount Morgan will start to receive fluoridated water in late 2010.
