Rockhampton Regional Council adopted new water restrictions on Tuesday 6 October 2009. Capricorn Coast water restrictions have increased from Level 1 to Level 3, while restrictions have been lifted in Gracemere and Mount Morgan.
The following restrictions apply for all Private Gardens (single dwellings, duplexes and multi-unit developments) located in the Capricorn Coast area:
- Irrigation systems and sprinklers banned
- No watering of existing turf / lawns permitted
- New turf by limited exemption
- Hand held watering permitted only during the hours of 6.00am — 9.00am and 5.00pm — 8.00pm
Ogmore is also on Level 3 and will see the pumping of its non-potable supply limited to one (1) day per week.
